A Few Home Acne Treatments to Consider

Obviously you know that home treatments exist or you wouldn’t be reading this article. But, did you know that many home treatments may be just as effective, if not more so, then expensive over-the-counter or prescription medicines? This is true for several home treatments for acne products that I know of, and in this article I will share them with you.

Before I introduce you to my favorite home treatments, I would like to spend a moment explaining what the main causes of acne are. Basically, oil skin coupled with clogged pores is the main trigger for acne, but it is a bacterial infection that is actually responsible for what we know as acne.

Now, let’s look at my favorite home treatment for acne; Vitamins. Yes, I know that many of you may roll your eyes at this one, but it really works, so hang in there while I win you over. Vitamin E is the most commonly used Vitamin in the treatment of acne.

This is because it supports overall healthy skin function. This means that it enables your skin to function at its best, which allows it to naturally fight off acne.

Another of my favorites is lemon juice. This can be used topically to help dry out your skin, which will eliminate the oil that the bacteria loves to live in. I typically mix it with water in about five parts water to one part lemon juice; this will make it a lot less potent which will not cause a skin rash. Then, I will pour a little on a cotton swab and dab it on the areas on my face that are affected with acne.

In conclusion, there are a lot of acne treatments that you can do at home, without spending a lot of money. If you take the time to apply the knowledge that has been giving to your in this article, you will be well on your way to treating your acne at home.
