They are able to prescribe you a huge number of tablets/creams to help with your problem. If they believe it is severe enough, they may refer you to a dermatologist who can prescribe accutane/roaccutane. This is the best drug ever, they will rid you of spots within 3 months-6 months (which is a while longer than a few weeks, but it will GREATLY prevent your break outs).
