I’ve had a bit of an acne problem lately and would like to know the best way to treat it since creams containing benzoyl peroxide cause me to have a severe allergic reacation. What is the best way to treat acne without using prescription or over the counter creams containing benzoyl peroxide?

Salicylic acid, and alpha-hydroxy acids are the other over the counter options.
The new Oxy products that contain both (blue package where I live) worked reasonable well for me, but I ended up getting meds from the doctor eventually.
